Privacy Policy

The dates you enter

The gender calculation happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your date of birth and conception or due date are never transmitted to our servers, never logged, and never stored. Close the tab and they are gone.

This is a deliberate design choice. Pregnancy dates are sensitive, and the safest way to handle sensitive data is not to collect it.

What we do collect

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful: page views, referring site, approximate country, and device type. This is aggregate data and is not used to identify you.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and abuse prevention. These are retained for a short period and then discarded.

Email

If you write to us, we keep your message and address so we can reply. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. Any storage the site itself uses is limited to remembering interface preferences on your own device. Our advertising partner does set cookies, which is covered in the next section.

Advertising

This site carries advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads, and may use your prior visits to this and other websites to show you ads based on your interests.

What Google collects for this purpose, and how it uses it, is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info.

The dates you enter into the calculator are not shared with our advertising partner, or with anyone else. They never leave your browser, as described above.

We do not use popunder, redirect, or auto-playing ad formats, and we will not introduce them.

Third parties

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers that host the site and provide analytics, and only to the extent needed to run it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the limited personal data we hold, or to object to its processing. Because we hold almost nothing, most requests are simple to fulfil. Write to chinesegendercalendar727@gmail.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
