Entertainment only
The Chinese Gender Calendar is a folk tradition with no scientific basis. Controlled studies place its accuracy at roughly 50 percent, statistically the same as flipping a coin. It cannot predict your baby’s sex, and we make no claim that it can.
If you want a reliable answer, a NIPT blood test from around 10 weeks or an anatomy-scan ultrasound at around 18 to 20 weeks are the methods your healthcare provider will use.
Accuracy of the calculation itself
We work hard to make the lunar conversion correct, and it is covered by an automated test suite that checks every date in its supported range. That means the calculator faithfully reproduces what the traditional chart says; it does not make the chart true.
